STEVE RIZZI CAMPAIGN HEADQUARTERS
STEVE RIZZI RECEIVES MOST VOTES IN
PRIMARY
GAMBRILLS, MD (September 13, 2002)
– The voters of
Maryland’s District 33A voted on Tuesday to advance
conservative Democrat Steve Rizzi to the General
Election where he meet two Republicans and one
Democrat. By receiving 4,391 votes in the primary,
Steve Rizzi received more votes than any other District
33A candidate – Republican or Democrat.
“I’m ready to start this race in
earnest,” Steve Rizzi said as he reflected on his
Primary win. “This General Election will be a story of
contrasts. The voters will see that there are sharp
contrasts between me and my Republican opponents.” He
continued, “I have worked very hard preparing for this
race, and I believe that my positions and ideas will
bring refreshing change to the House of Delegates.”
Following the Primary contest, Mr.
Rizzi will be focused on the issues which drew him to
seek a seat in the Legislature. “I will be out in the
community talking about my pro-neighborhood education
agenda, as well as new ideas to stimulate our state’s
economy and a balance our state budget, ” he said. “I
am looking forward to talking about the substance of
solutions to our state’s problems – not just slogans.”
Anne Arundel County businessman Steve
Rizzi is a conservative Democrat who is running for the
open House of Delegates seat in District 33A. Mr. Rizzi
strongly believes that an accountable and qualified
Board of Education is essential to educate our county’s
children and make sound fiscal decisions. Mr. Rizzi has
served in advisory capacities to the U.S. Department of
Education, as well as the Anne Arundel County Board of
Education. He has also widely been recognized as an
expert in the application of technology to problems in
government.
