In their endorsement, The Capital gave careful consideration to each of the five candidates running for two seats, and they selected Steve Rizzi based on a combination of both his state and local government experience.  This endorsement came after a written questionnaire and two interviews.  The paper was impressed by his “grasp of local issues,” but they also gave him high marks for business experience as well.

Candidate Steve Rizzi was pleased with this endorsement.  “The Capital’s endorsement means a lot to me because I believe that their editorial board is in touch with the needs of our local community,” he said.
