Steve Rizzi for Maryland House of Delegates

Steve Rizzi has the breadth necessary to reach across the issues which face our community today, and he identifies with the fiscally conservative and socially moderate electorate of our District. He has new ideas which arise from his Democratic upbringing, but which benefit from his pragmatic experience in building a leading edge technology business. While his positions and ideas are consistent with his Democratic political values, you will not see ideas like his coming from the party establishment.

Steve Rizzi is a conservative Democrat who is running for the open House of Delegates seat in District 33A. Mr. Rizzi strongly believes that an accountable and qualified Board of Education is essential to educate our county’s children and make sound fiscal decisions. Mr. Rizzi has served in advisory capacities to the U.S. Department of Education, as well as the Anne Arundel County Board of Education.

Time for a Change
Maryland’s Democratic Party needs new ideas, and we need to be able to reach out to independents and socially moderate Republicans. We need a candidate who is not associated with the status quo of perpetuating the same old Democratic ideas. We need a person who can stand up to the leadership of both parties with good ideas which solve the tough problems we have facing us in the future: education, economic development, transportation and growth, and security.

The Democratic Party has always stood for a group of people who are committed to lifting up the nation to be a leader of the free world. This is a party which has supported the development of free enterprise in the context of social responsibility. Democrats have stood for the rights of all, not just the rich and powerful, and many times industrial leaders have come into the party to be a catalyst for change. Steve Rizzi is such a person.
